Community Invited to Meet CEO Candidate during Sunday 'Meet and Greet'

Sunday, September 10, community members are invited to meet Humboldt General Hospital’s candidate for chief executive officer.

Art Frable, a longtime hospital administrator, will travel from Oklahoma Saturday in order to meet with community members Sunday. The “Meet and Greet” will take place from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the hospital’s Sarah Winnemucca Conference Room.

The public will have the chance to meet Frable, ask questions, and participate in a community survey regarding the candidate’s qualifications and potential fit with the community. Light refreshments will be served.

Frable was one of two final CEO candidates, down from six potentials who each shared an interest in applying for the job. The HGH Board of Trustees eventually invited four to take part in Skype interviews on August 28; Frable was the only one that trustees invited to come on-site.

Monday, September 11, trustees will interview Frable during an open meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Sarah Winnemucca Conference Room. Another open meeting, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, will allow board members to offer Frable the CEO position or decide instead to continue recruitment efforts.

Monday, Frable’s day will include meetings with the hospital’s medical staff, management team, supervisors, various department heads and staff members as a whole.

Frable was actually one of the three final CEO candidates who were chosen for a site visit during the board’s original search in February. At that time, he opted not to visit Winnemucca for the final selection; however, HGH Board Chairman JoAnn Casalez pointed out during the Monday, August 28, meeting that Frable was the only candidate that all members agreed upon the first time.
