Hospital Auxiliary
You are invited to join one of Humboldt County's longest standing and
most respected volunteer organizations. The Humboldt Hospital Auxiliary,
whose members are known by their pink jackets, serve as the fundraising
arm of Humboldt General Hospital.
Since the Auxiliary's inception in 1969, members have donated over
$2 million to Humboldt General Hospital-money that has purchased everything
from hospital beds to surgical equipment to a blanket warmer for the hospital's
long-term care facility, Harmony Manor.
Volunteers are needed-both men and women-to work at the group's main
funding source, the Poke & Peek Thrift Shop, where members sort, price,
display and sell clothing, toys, books and household items. Volunteers
also are needed to help out at Harmony Manor, the hospital's skilled
nursing facility, and within the hospital itself.
If you are ready to give yourself over to a cause worthy of your time,
please call Humboldt General Hospital at (775) 623-5222 for more information.
