We have amazing news to share. Humboldt General Hospital's Skilled Nursing Facility, Harmony Manor, recently received a five-star rating, the highest achievement for any nursing home anywhere in the country. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily. Ratings are created from the following three sources of data: Health Inspections, Staffing and Quality Measures. Harmony Manor received five stars in each category and five stars overall. This is a one-of-a-kind achievement, but one that Nurse Supervisor Robin Gillis hopes to duplicate again and again. "It doesn't stay there unless you keep up the hard work," said Robin, "and we're going to work hard to do just that." Plus, Robin said Harmony Manor's staffing ratio is among the best in the state. "We want to thank administration for that," she said.
