Humboldt General Hospital's Diabetes Support Group will discuss medications
in September.
"Diabetes Medications: Everything You Need to Know" will take
place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, in the hospital's
Sonoma conference room.
Humboldt General Hospital welcomes Pharmacist Robert Hall as the evening's
guest presenter.
There is no charge to attend, and all ages are welcome.
According to Humboldt General Hospital Director of Nutrition and Dietary
Services and Licensed Dietitian Tiffani Nalivka, diabetes medications
can improve people's ability to keep their blood sugar within a target range.
Nalivka said, "These medications are powerful tools that can help
manage blood sugar and delay or prevent complications."
Wednesday's presentation is open to diabetics, pre-diabetics, caregivers
and those who are interested in preventing diabetes are invited to learn more.
