Fourth of July Parade

Robin Moore, our new activities director in Harmony Manor, is putting together an entry in the Fourth of July parade scheduled for 11 a.m. this Thursday, July 4. If you're going to be in town, head down to the boulevard to cheer on Robin, our Harmony residents and our great volunteers. Robin has gone to extra care to decorate the Harmony van for the parade. There will also be a group walking in front of the van with a big banner and plenty of candy. Be sure to give them a big shout out! The Fourth of July Parade is sponsored by the Silver State International Rodeo Committee. It will kick off at the Model T parking lot on Winnemucca Boulevard and will travel east toward the Winnemucca Events Complex. The Silver State International Rodeo will be held in Winnemucca from Tuesday, July 2, through Saturday, July 6 at the Winnemucca Event Center. The event will draw over 500 high school athletes and their families here from all over the United States and Canada. The Silver State competition caps off the regular rodeo season for high school athletes who finished their respective state or province competitions in fifth through fifteenth place. We hope to see you at the parade!
