Our wonderful HGH Employee Committee has put together a heck of a deal for the Humboldt Volunteer Hospice. Hospice is raffling off a vintage 1965 Ford Mustang, and a few days ago, HGHEC President Rick McComb and Treasurer Louis Mendiola purchased seven raffle tickets on behalf of the committee with a promise: "If we win this car, we'll donate it back so that it can be raffled again." Pretty sweet, huh? Our Employee Committee really is out to help our community prosper in such good ways! By the way, if you want a shot at winning this beautiful car, tickets are now on sale for $20 each; the winner will be selected on November 6, 2014, at a “Business After Hours” Chamber Mixer, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop. The car was donated to the organization last year. Since then it has been re-painted, mechanically examined and it's in excellent condition. It's going to make a nice ride for someone out there!
