On Thursday, February 20, Humboldt General Hospital will present the next
installment of its 2014 "Healthy Year, Healthy You" seminar series.
"Compassionate Communication and Challenging Behaviors" will
take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the hospital's Sonoma Conference
Room. There is no charge to attend and lunch will be served.
Jennifer Baker with the Northern Nevada Alzheimer's Association will
lead the discussion. The class is designed principally for those working
with different forms of dementia; however, some of the key points can
apply to care giving in general.
February's seminar continues a year-long series of "Healthy Year,
Healthy You" presentations aimed at helping local residents achieve
a greater state of wellness.
All presentations are held from noon to 1 p.m. on the third Thursday of
each month. There is never a charge to attend and lunch is always served.
