On Thursday, May 15, Humboldt General Hospital will present the next installment
of its 2014 "Healthy Year, Healthy You" seminar series.
"Navigating the Grocery Store without Beaking Your Budget" will
take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the hospital's Sonoma Conference
Room. There is no charge to attend and lunch will be served.
Humboldt General Hospital Director of Dietary and Nutrition Services Tiffani
Nalivka will facilitate the hour-long discussion, which will include tips
and tricks for making a health-focused trip to the market, while keeping
your pocketbook in check.
"With more products on shelves than ever before," said Nalivka,
"finding your way around the grocery store is no easy task. Between
clever packaging, confusing marketing, and endless options to choose from,
it can be downright overwhelming trying to make nutritious food choices
for your family."
But Nalivka said there is hope. "We're going to share some great
steps that will make the process much simpler, more efficient and much

state of wellness.
All presentations are held from noon to 1 p.m. on the third Thursday of
each month. There is never a charge to attend and lunch is always served.
