Dr. Leonard Perkinson has resigned his position as a Family Practice OB
physician at Humboldt General Hospital.
Dr. Perkinson also has been relieved of his duties as chief of Humboldt
General Hospital’s medical staff.
Following a brief closed session at the Monday, March 4, special meeting
of the board, trustees unanimously agreed to accept Dr. Perkinson’s
resignation, which he submitted Sunday, March 3.
All trustees were present; however, board member Jennifer Hood recused
herself from the discussion and vote.
Dr. Perkinson first came to Winnemucca in 2012; in 2015, trustees renewed
his contract for an additional five years, until 2020.
CEO Cole said the hospital remains committed to providing exceptional maternity
and pediatric care.
