Humboldt General Hospital has updated its visitation policies and safety
measures to continue to protect patients, visitors and healthcare workers.
Friends and family can now visit a loved one when hospitalized, which medical
and hospital staff agree can be an important part of the recovery process.
Each patient may receive one visitor, age 18 or older, from 10 a.m. to
2 p.m., and from 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
OB patients are allowed one companion, age 18 or older, during active labor,
who must remain with the patient until discharge.
Clinic patients should attend their appointment alone if possible. A companion,
age 18 or older, may accompany the patient if needed but should be in
good health and wear a face covering.
Residents in the Harmony Manor Skilled Nursing and Residential Care Community
and the Quail Corner Life Enrichment Community may not receive visitors
at this time.
All Humboldt General Hospital visitors must comply with the following enhanced
safety measures:
-
Be in good health. Visitors with signs of illness, who have active COVID-19, or pending
COVID-19 test results will not be granted access to the facility.
-
Complete a screening at the facility’s front entrance. All visitors will be screened for fever and COVID-like symptoms and exposure.
-
Observe hand hygiene practices. Visitors should use alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after leaving
the hospital facility, and before and after entering a patient’s
room, to prevent the spread of viruses on high-touch areas.
-
Maintain strict social distancing from others. All visitors must maintain at least six feet of distance from patients
and other visitors, and avoid gathering in waiting rooms, lobbies and
entrances.
-
Wear a face covering at all times. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own face covering or mask, which
must be worn over the nose and mouth at all times.
Visitors are reminded to use the main entrance to Humboldt General Hospital
from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Emergency entrance is for Emergency Department
patients only.
