Winnemucca, NV – As the months of the COVID pandemic drag on, healthcare workers are being
put to the test. At Humboldt General Hospital, our 340 employees have
remained dedicated to providing care through it all. As recognition of
their tireless work, HGH employees will receive a COVID Retention Bonus.
“I am extremely proud of the HGH team and their performance during
a time when our community needs us the most,” said Tim Powers, HGH
Chief Executive Officer. “I hope in a small way this retention bonus
will ease the strain and provide some timely resources during the holiday
season.”
The retention bonuses were provided using CARES Act funding, which is an
approved use under the HHS rules. The bonuses were paid to employees based
on hours worked between February and October. Casual call whose last shift
worked is no later than August also received the bonus. Bonuses will not
be paid to high pay earners. A second retention bonus is planned for March
2021 for hours worked between November and February.
