Saturday, October 31, Humboldt General Hospital will offer trick or treating
in a safe, fun-filled environment.
The hospital’s annual “Trunk or Treat” event will take
place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot above the EMS Station,
located at 118 E. Haskell Street.
The family-friendly event, which is produced by the HGH Employee Committee,
features decorated trunks and candy stations for community members and
their children to trick or treat in a safe and fun environment. There
is no charge to attend and all ages are welcome.
The Humboldt General Hospital Trunk or Treat is held in conjunction with
the Humboldt County Chamber of Commerce’s business trick or treating
event, which will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 31.
Additionally, Winnemucca Mayor Richard Stone has declared that community
trick or treating will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., also on Saturday,
October 31.
All trunk or treaters are encouraged to wear costumes; facial coverings
are mandatory. Cars will be parked to allow for proper social distancing,
and trunk or treaters are encouraged to wait to unwrap any candy until
their hands have been washed and/or sanitized.
Any person who is experiencing COVID-like symptoms, or who has had a possible
