Our social services team
The HGH social services team is always available and has an open-door policy.
Our staff includes professionals at different stages of their careers, including masters-level social workers. What they all share is a dedication to serving our community. They work with all hospital departments to ensure that families have the resources and support they need.
As professionals, social workers respect patient confidentiality and adhere to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
Inpatient and some outpatient services are included in your hospital charges. Many outpatient fees are covered by health insurance as well.
Contact social services
Your physician or nurse can always contact social services for you, or you can call us at 775.623.5222, ext. 1440 or ext. 1441.
You can also spot us easily in the hospital—we're the friendly people wearing lavender scrubs.
