Biography
Dr. Jeffrey Meter is originally from the Northeast, but is excited to call Northern Nevada home and to spend time in the mountains with his wife.
Dr. Meter received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Juniata College in Pennsylvania and his MD at Drexel-Hahnemann Medical School. He finished his internship at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco and residency in orthopedic surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. He served 14 years in the US Army, with 10th Special Forces Group and the 8th Forward Surgical Team, with combat tours in the Gulf War and multiple evacuation and humanitarian tours around the world.
Dr. Meter taught orthopedic surgery with the residency programs of Stanford University and University of Connecticut each for over ten years.
When Dr. Meter is not busy caring for orthopedic patients at Humboldt General Hospital, he enjoys, skiing, hiking and sailing.
