Now Hiring for Burning Man 2020
Burning Man 2020 will take place Sunday, August 30, through Monday, September 7, in northern
Nevada's Black Rock Desert. Black Rock City, which is co-created by
75,000 participants over the week-long event, becomes a one-of-a-kind
temporary metropolis dedicated to art and community.
Humboldt General Hospital EMS Rescue is once again working with CrowdRX,
Inc. to provide Advanced Life Support ground medical services and transport
for injured or ill residents of Black Rock City. We are now recruiting
potential applicants to work from Friday, August 28, through Wednesday,
September 9. If you are a Paramedic, AEMT, EMT or Radiologic Technologist,

We would love for you to work with us. All Burning Man applicants will
be vetted through a three-step process: application review, schedule availability
and event/shift confirmation.
Step 1: Fill out an application:

Step 2: If your qualifications and eligibility match our current needs, we will
send you three shifts to check your availability. This does not mean you
are hired; it simply means we are verifying if your availability matches
our current needs. HGH EMS Rescue requires a
3-shift minimum to be hired. The more availability you have, the better your chances of

send you a confirmation of your scheduled shifts. You must respond stating
that you have received your schedule and will report to your scheduled
shifts. At that point, you are hired. Congratulations!
You must be licensed in Nevada to provide services at Burning Man:
EMS Certification and Licensure
Nevada EMS State Online Application Portal
Radiology Licensing, Inspections and Certifications
Additionally, you must:
- Submit a completed W-4 form to indicate your tax situation.
- Submit a completed I-9 form, officially the Employment Eligibility Verification,
to verify your identity and legal authorization to work as a paid employee
in the United States.
In addition to the unique experience of working at Burning Man, HGH EMS
Rescue also offers the following benefits:
- Tent or trailer accommodations for the duration of your Burning Man stay
(trailers are reserved for those serving the most shifts)

HGH EMS Rescue is a department of Humboldt General Hospital, a 67-bed Critical
Access Hospital in Winnemucca. The service responds to approximately 2,100
calls each year across 10,000 square miles of rural high desert in ambulances,
rescue vehicles, on ATVs and bicycles. Additionally, HGH AirOne provides
air ambulance transport to higher level care.
HGH EMS Rescue was recognized as an “EMS 10 Innovator” in 2011
and again in 2013. The “Innovators” project is sponsored by
the Journal of Emergency Medical Services and recognizes and pays tribute
to those who make significant contributions to the development of EMS
in the United States. HGH EMS Rescue was recognized for establishing a
critical care paramedic ground transport program, establishing the "HeartShare"
PAD program, introducing portable ultrasound to the field, introducing
hand-held blood analyzers to the field, and launching a Community Paramedicine
program. HGH EMS also performs all extrication for its region and operates
a Hazardous Materials Unit.
